The Jodie Marsh and Jonathan Ross post
There was a surreal aspect to Twitter in the UK on Friday evening as followers of media personality Jodie Marsh tried to use Twitter to lobby Jonathan Ross to have Marsh on his show to talk about her work combating bullying. Ross rejected the campaign considering himself to have been bullied and hounded according the Daily Mail. All of which gave the campaign a slightly ridiculous feel; especially given the serious subject matter.
The campaign was also notable for it’s ridiculiously long hashtag: #getjodieonJonathanRosstoraiseawareness
All of it looked like some old school publicity been drummed up to keep Marsh in the public eye and promote discussion in the media around a show she has appearing on Channel 5 later on in the year.If this all sounds very similar; you are probably reminded of the Kelly Brook | Jordan spat were a few choice tweets gave Ms Price the oxygen of publicity required by a media personality.
