An article on Japanator highlighted AKB 48′s management response to Minami Minegishi’s shaven headed video fallout. I had covered it on Friday and it has since appeared in over 13,000 news media throughout the world. As Josh Tolentino of Japanator put it:

Tomonobu Togasaki, who took to Google+ to clarify the incident. Helpfully (and perhaps acknowledging the international “WTF Japan”-level attention the story drew), the statement was simultaneously posted in English as well as Japanese.
